5AM Solutions Adds Vice President of Business Development
Ginger Price brings experience, passion, and success on the front lines of personal health records
Reston, VA, February 23, 2010 – 5AM Solutions, an emerging technology leader in the life sciences, today announced the appointment of Virginia “Ginger” Price to Vice President of Business Development. Price will focus on building client and partner collaborations, supporting adoption of 5AM’s products and services, and bringing thought leadership on Health IT standards and interoperability. Price will further the company’s vision to be the place where clients, engineers, and investors can contribute to “Software For Life®.”
Ms. Price brings significant experience on the cutting edge of health IT. While at the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs, she managed emerging health technology programs such as Home TeleHealth, Federal Health Information Exchange, and Bidirectional Health Information Exchange. Price led the concept definition, development, deployment, operations, and adoption of My HealtheVet as a market-leader in personal health records, serving nearly 750,000 veterans in an online health information, personal health record, and electronic services environment. Most recently, Price directed the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN) Program for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service’s Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC). Committed to using standards, services, and a trust fabric that enables the secure exchange of health information over the Internet, the NHIN comprises a critical part of the nation’s health IT agenda.
